About NDIS

What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government scheme that funds reasonable and necessary costs for people with disability.

About NDIS

NDIS provides all Australians under the age of 65 who have a permanent and significant disability with the support that they need to achieve their goals, become more independent, increase their involvement in the community and leading to a better quality of life for participants and their carers.

People who are eligible for NDIS support are called participants. Each participant has their own NDIS plan that identifies the outcomes they wish to achieve, the supports that will be funded by the NDIS and other supports the person requires.

The scheme can be very complex and daunting for newcomers and existing participants, hence we are giving you the full assistance to simplify the process for you.

Fundings

NDIS funding can be managed in THREE different ways

1. Self-managed: The NDIA provides you with funding so you can access the supports that will best help you achieve your goals.

2. Plan-managed: The NDIA will provide funding in your plan to pay for a Plan Manager who pays your providers for you, helps you keep track of funds and takes care of financial reporting for you.

3. NDIA-managed: The NDIA pays your providers on your behalf

You can also have a combination of the funding.
